Glossary

  • Joy Buyer (JB) — A customer who locks an item during a live session but fails to complete payment, requests cancellation after locking, or repeatedly violates these Terms & Conditions.
  • Free Lock (FL) — A complimentary lock privilege granted at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion. FL items are subject to the same Terms & Conditions as paid locks.
  • Bundle Clothing — Pre-owned, secondhand clothing sourced from mixed lots. Not new items.
  • DFOD — Delivery Fee on Delivery. Shipping fee paid upon receiving the parcel.
  • Voucher — An omakthrift store voucher issued as compensation at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion. Each voucher carries a unique ID.

1. Lock & Payment Policy

  • Once an item is locked during a live session, the sale is considered final and binding.
  • Full payment is required immediately upon locking the first item, including the applicable shipping fee.
  • Additional locked items not paid within the specified timeframe will be automatically cancelled with no refund.
  • If a customer fails to provide a photo of the locked item upon request, the seller reserves the right to cancel the lock.
  • The seller is not responsible if a customer locks the wrong item. Ensure the correct item is selected before locking.
  • If the locked item does not match the provided photo, the seller reserves the right to cancel or modify the order.

2. Joy Buyer Policy

  • Requesting exchanges, passes, or cancellations after locking is considered Joy Buyer (JB) behaviour and will not be entertained.
  • Failure to make payment after locking is also considered JB behaviour.
  • Customers who repeatedly exhibit JB behaviour may be restricted from future live sessions or permanently banned, at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • All sales are final upon locking. No cancellations, exchanges, or changes are permitted under any circumstances.
  • Any cancellation, if granted, is solely at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion and does not constitute a right or entitlement for the customer.
  • Any exception granted shall not be construed as a waiver of this policy or a precedent for future requests.
  • If a cancellation is granted at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion, all FL items linked to that order will also be automatically cancelled.
  • Customers who lock items during a live session must respond and complete payment immediately. Failure to do so will result in the order being treated as cancelled, a penalty being imposed, and the item being resold.
  • Any cancellation or exception granted outside the live session may incur a penalty, determined based on the situation and associated costs, at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion.

4. Payment & Refund Policy

  • No refunds are permitted once an item is locked during a live session.
  • If a refund is determined to be applicable, it is solely at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion and will be processed within 15 working days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
  • Any locked items not fully paid within the specified timeframe will be automatically cancelled with no refund.

5. Shipping Policy

  • Parcels are shipped on working days only, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
  • Customers must ensure all shipping details — including full address, recipient name, and valid phone number — are submitted accurately via omak.me/go/postage.
  • Shipping information must be submitted via the website link provided. Submissions via WhatsApp Business will not be accepted and orders will not be processed without a valid website submission.
  • Shipping may be delayed if payment is insufficient or if the shipping address is incomplete or incorrect.
  • If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer bears the cost of reshipping.
  • Once the parcel has been handed over to the courier (J&T Express), the seller is no longer responsible for any delays, damage, or loss during transit. All transit-related issues must be directed to the courier company.

6. Shipping Fees

  • Peninsular Malaysia (SM): RM6
  • Langkawi (LGKW): RM7
  • Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan (SSL): DFOD
  • Each parcel accommodates a maximum of 3 pieces of clothing. Additional pieces will incur extra charges or be converted to DFOD at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion.
  • For all DFOD shipments, customers are fully responsible for accepting and paying the delivery fee upon receipt. Failure to accept or pay will result in the parcel being returned. No refund or compensation will be provided for returned DFOD parcels.
  • Flat rate shipping (RM6/RM7) is not guaranteed and may be converted to DFOD at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion. Any paid flat rate shipping fee will be refunded if conversion occurs.

7. Holding Items Policy

  • Items may be held for a maximum of 14 days from the date the item was locked. Customers may join any live session (@omakthrift or @omakthrift2) during this period to complete their purchase.
  • If no shipping address is submitted via omak.me/go/postage within 14 days from the hold date, the sale will be automatically cancelled with no refund.
  • Any extension beyond 14 days is strictly at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion and does not constitute a right or entitlement for the customer. No extension request is guaranteed to be approved.
  • No appeals or disputes regarding holding period expiry will be entertained.

8. Bundle Clothing — Quality & Condition

  • omakthrift exclusively sells pre-owned bundle clothing. All items are secondhand and not new. The word “thrift” in our brand name reflects this nature.
  • By participating in any of our platforms — including TikTok Live, WhatsApp Business, or this website — customers are deemed to have understood and accepted the pre-owned nature of all items, regardless of whether specific defects were disclosed during the live session.
  • We make reasonable efforts to disclose known defects during live sessions. However, due to the nature of bundle clothing, not all minor imperfections may be identified or announced. Customers accept this limitation upon locking any item.
  • Minor defects such as faded colours, loose stitches, fabric fuzz, or general signs of wear are considered normal for bundle clothing and do not constitute grounds for return, exchange, or refund.
  • Major defects such as large tears or visible stains will be disclosed during the live session where possible.
  • Once an item has been washed, worn, or altered, the seller will not be responsible for any defect or damage reported thereafter.
  • If you require clothing in 100% brand-new condition, bundle items are not suitable for you.

9. Defect Claims & Returns

  • Defect or incorrect item claims must be submitted within 3 working days of receiving the parcel, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Claims must be accompanied by clear photo or video evidence.
  • Claims submitted after this window or without supporting evidence will not be entertained.
  • Each case will be reviewed individually by the seller. The decision to approve or reject any claim is solely at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion and does not constitute a right or entitlement for the customer.
  • If a claim is approved and the defect or error is verified to be on the seller’s part, the return shipping cost will be borne by the seller.
  • All other return shipping costs not related to the seller’s error are to be borne entirely by the customer.

10. Compensation & Vouchers

  • If any compensation is approved at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion, it will be issued in the form of an omakthrift store voucher only and not in the form of a cash refund or online bank transfer.
  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash under any circumstances.
  • Vouchers may be transferred to another party as each voucher carries a unique ID.
  • Each voucher carries an expiry date as determined by the seller. If a voucher has expired, the voucher holder may submit a request for an extension. Approval of any extension is solely at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion and does not constitute a right or entitlement for the voucher holder.
  • By participating in any of our platforms, customers are deemed to have agreed to and accepted vouchers as a valid form of compensation if approved.

11. Sizing & Measurements

  • Customers are responsible for checking measurements stated during the live session.
  • Tag sizes are not standardised — each item may have different actual measurements even if the tag size is the same.
  • No returns or exchanges are accepted if clothing does not fit, as measurements are provided during the live session.

12. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are responsible for reading and understanding all information provided across:
    • TikTok Live sessions
    • WhatsApp Business auto-reply messages and catalogue
    • This website, including these Terms & Conditions
  • A valid and active email address must be provided to receive order-related notifications. The seller is not responsible for missed notifications due to fake, inactive, or full-storage email accounts.
  • The seller will not be responsible for any issues arising from customer negligence in reading or understanding the information provided.

13. Complaint & Dispute Procedure

  • Any complaint or dispute must be submitted through the following official channels in order:
    • omakthrift WhatsApp Business — within 3 working days of receiving the parcel, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
    • omakthrift Official Email (hello@omak.me) — if no resolution is reached within 7 working days of the WhatsApp complaint being submitted
  • Any further action or third-party complaint may only be taken after both steps above have been fully exhausted.
  • Customers who fail to follow the stated complaint procedure before taking further action are deemed to have waived their right to seek any resolution from the seller.
  • The seller reserves the right to disregard any complaint submitted outside of the stated official channels.
  • All complaint-related communication must be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia or English only.

14. Limitation of Liability

  • The seller’s liability is limited to matters directly related to the sale, handling, and dispatch of purchased items as described in these Terms & Conditions.
  • The seller is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, damages, or delays beyond what is stated herein.
  • Once a parcel has been handed over to the courier, all risk of loss, damage, or delay transfers to the courier or the customer.

15. Final Clause & Acknowledgement

  • By locking any item during a live session, customers are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions stated herein.
  • omakthrift exclusively sells pre-owned bundle clothing. Customers are deemed aware of this by virtue of engaging with any of our platforms, including but not limited to TikTok Live, WhatsApp Business, and this website.
  • Failure or refusal to submit required information via the website — for any reason including personal reluctance, inability, or security concerns — does not constitute valid grounds for cancellation or refund.
  • All locked items are final, non-cancellable, and non-refundable unless expressly decided by the seller at the seller’s sole and absolute discretion.
  • Any attempt to bypass the stated process or repeated violations of these Terms & Conditions may result in penalties, order cancellation without refund, or restriction from future live sessions.
  • The seller reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in our platforms following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
